The Department of Classical and Semitic Languages and Literatures at The George Washington University comprises faculty in Classics (ancient Greek and Latin), Arabic and Hebrew. We’ll be trying to make regular posts here on department happenings, adventures in academia and on what our former and current students are up to. Be sure to visit our university home page at: http://www.gwu.edu/~csll. for course listings, contact information and more information on upcoming department events.

The Authors:

Dr. Rebecca Kennedy: Visiting Assistant Professor of Classics and Ancient History. The real brains behind the operation, Professor Kennedy is the only truly computer literate member of the department and as such gets stuck with most web-related duties. She does mostly Greek stuff (5th-century Athenian) with occasional forays into the Roman Republic and Caesar.

Dr. Eric Cline: Associate Professor of Archaeology and Ancient History; fearless leader and captain who steers our little ship of state.

Robyn LeBlanc: A triple major in Classics, Archaeology and History and president of the Classics and Archaeology Club. She is the glue that holds the undergraduates together.
